The Department of Education commissioned a Cultures of Collaboration project requiring the production of a comprehensive suite of learning products, incorporating both digital and hardcopy media. The packages’ purpose was to support the Northern Territory’s human resources department in informing teachers of the expectations of rural and remote placements. This specifically involved the teaching of cross cultural collaboration techniques and issues that new teachers could expect in their remote roles.
It was particularly important that this learning package was accessible and effective for teachers and schools in remote communities. The project was wholly managed by Captovate, who together with the departments cultural advisor brought together a variety of partners to develop the cultural content.
