The following examples demonstrate our collective skills in the area of developing training content suitable for eLearning delivery. This includes structuring content to optimise the learning experience, design appropriate graphics and developing scripts and storyboards.

Inductions and Work Health and Safety (WHS) modules

Captovate has developed a number of induction modules covering a range of topics, including codes of conduct, bullying in the workplace, identifying hazards and risks, and general introductions to workplace systems and processes.


Our aim is to develop interactive and engaging modules that enable micro, flexible learning, ensuring that employees are kept informed and up to date.

Project title: South Australia Government,
SA Health Procurement Training

Platform: Articulate Storyline

SA Health's Procurement services entrusted Captovate with the end-to-end development of educational content focused on procurement and contract management, including structure, scripting, and scenario creation. Their design team developed rich visuals, interactive knowledge checks, and interactive content, making complex, dry information easily digestible.

Project title: OneNTG Orientation

Platform: Articulate Storyline

Captovate was commissioned by the Northern Territory Government to produce the whole of Government training. The OneNTG Orientation is to provide all employees with the core information for them to undertake their jobs. The package includes information on employee responsibilities, ICT, Code of Conduct, Integrity and Equity and more.


Captovate's role include content creation, course design and development and included an extensive UAT process.

Project title: NT Health Electronic Medication Management Application (eMMa)

Platform: Articulate Storyline

NT Health recently implemented their Electronic Medication Management Application (eMMa) and required training materials to upskill doctors and nurses in using the software.


Captovate's approach involved using screencasts to create guided learning experiences and scenario simulations.

Project title: NTG Procurement training
Platform: Articulate Storyline

Procurement NT commissioned Captovate to write and develop an eLearning course to operate within current Northern Territory Government systems and software, and educate public servants, about the fundamentals of government procurement in keeping with relevant legislation and regulation.

We developed different styles of learning activity to help refine the learner’s knowledge and create interactivity.

Project title: Introduction to Emergency Management and WebEOC

Platform: Articulate Storyline

The NT Police, Fire and Emergency Service commissioned Captovate to develop two eLearning modules. The first was a package to provide an introduction to anyone who volunteers to be part of an emergency response, the second module aimed to teach administrators how to use and enter information into their incident management database, WebEOC.

Project title: Vulvar Cancer Story
Platform: Articulate Storyline

Commissioned via Menzies School of Health Research, Captovate was asked to develop an eLearn to help publicise the key findings from recent research in key Indigenous communities and the overarching end goal was to help health professionals identify vulvar cancer. The content included some very graphic medical imagery so the brief included developing some graphics that told the story behind the research.

Project title: DriveSafe Learner Driver Program
Platform: Articulate Storyline

Captovate has had a long and positive working relationship with the Northern Territory Government Motor Vehicle Registry’s DriveSafe NT Remote Program to produce online learning materials for the Driver Education and Licensing Program. The remit was to refine the three hour face-to-face workshop into an online tool, which could either be presented by trained facilitators or worked through independently. The online tool needed to be delivered via various formats, including mobile tablet devices, delivered both on and offline and with and without voice overs. The additional requirement was to provide guided instruction in four Indigenous languages.

Program title: The Department of Education Cultures of Collaboration Project
Platform: Articulate Storyline/Delivery via Sharepoint

The NT's Department of Education commissioned a Cultures of Collaboration project requiring the production of a comprehensive suite of learning products, incorporating both digital and hardcopy media. The packages’ purpose was to support the Northern Territory’s human resources department in informing teachers of the expectations of rural and remote placements. This specifically involved the teaching of cross cultural collaboration techniques and issues that new teachers could expect in their remote roles.

Program title: NTG’s Capability and Leadership Framework

Captovate worked closely with the Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment on designing their middle manager development framework which sits within the Northern Territory Government Capability and Leadership Framework. Captovate’s work includes being able to interpret and contextualise the intent of the framework, to be able to effectively communicate strategic messages, gain buy-in from stakeholders and articulate the offering clearly.

Program title: One21Seventy 

One21Seventy is an organisation designed to support Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) practices in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health care. The eLearning package that was developed by Captovate is targeted at primary health care workers, helping them to understand what CQI is in the context of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health care, and how they can develop successful quality improvement processes and outcomes.

Program title: TIO Security Policy and Procedures

The brief was to translate their current PowerPoint slides into an interactive resource that staff and contractors use, both on and off site to learn about TIO’s security policy and procedures. The requirement of the product was to ensure that staff are compliant with TIO’s Liability Insurance Act.

An additional requirement from the client was to make the often ‘dry’ content more engaging and exciting, in fact the brief was to add a bit of fun.
